Our family of five has just returned from a fantastic holiday in Portugal, and it was everything we could have wished for. With two energetic kids, a curious teenager, and us parents looking for a bit of relaxation, Portugal delivered the perfect mix of adventure and leisure.
We started our trip on the Algarve coast, known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. Our days often began with lazy mornings on the golden sands of Praia da Marinha, where the children built sandcastles while we soaked up the sun. The water was just the right temperature, and the kids loved splashing about in the shallows.
One of the highlights was our day at Slide & Splash, one of Portugal’s most famous water parks. The kids couldn’t get enough of the exhilarating slides, while we found ourselves floating down the lazy river, enjoying the lovley weather. It was a great way to keep everyone entertained and cool.
Evenings were a chance to unwind and indulge in Portugal’s culinary delights. We found a charming little restaurant in Albufeira, where we dined on fresh seafood and the local specialty, cataplana. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the sun setting over the ocean as we enjoyed our meal. The children were treated to some mouth-watering desserts, which quickly became a nightly tradition.
Our holiday in Portugal was a wonderful blend of relaxation, adventure, and quality family time. It’s a destination that truly offers something for everyone, and we’ve returned home with some lovely memories!
